Personal and business license

Your purchase grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download, print and use the files and software for yourself and your household and, for business products, in your work: for the business you own or run, for the people who work in it, and for the clients you serve (see the next section). You may use them on any number of your own devices and as many times as you like. There is no time limit, and no limit on how many copies you print for your own use or your business's own use.

Working for your clients: no extra license needed

You may use our paid business products to provide services to other people, including paid services, without asking us for a separate license. This covers the Business Decision X-Ray, TidyCents Undo, the Crisis Optimizer, Business Fragility X-Ray, Money Leak Autopsy, Payment Gate, Control Room, the small-business kits and our other business spreadsheets and apps.

It applies to accountants, bookkeepers, tax and financial advisers, consultants, coaches and business owners who serve their own customers. You may:

• run calculations, scenarios and checks for your clients' businesses;
• give your clients the results you produce with our products, such as reports, PDFs, printouts, exported tables, filled-in templates, plans and figures, including under your own name;
• use the products in consultations, meetings and training you run for your clients;
• let the people who work in your business use them for that work.

The results you create with our products are yours to use and hand to your clients. What you may not pass on without a license is the product itself: the files, the software and your access.

Software access. The Business Decision X-Ray, TidyCents Undo, the Crisis Optimizer, the other business apps and the Control Room purchases and subscriptions give you the right to use the software in your browser for your own business and for the businesses of your clients, for as long as your purchase or subscription gives access. The software itself is not sold or transferred to you.

1. Subscription access through the site

Tidy Cents PRO, the Business Decision X-Ray and Crisis Optimizer plans and the other Control Room subscriptions give you the right to use the software in your browser, for your own business and for the businesses of your clients, for as long as your subscription is paid. With PRO, every interactive business tool opens in its full version on the site.

• Exporting your own results and backups (PDF, CSV and backup files) is included and never counts toward your plan's downloads.
• Offline (standalone) versions of the interactive business tools are not part of a subscription; they come only with the one-time purchase of a tool (block 2). The seven offline programs of the downloadable library are a different thing: they belong to the PRO library (block 3).
• If you cancel the renewal, access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that, online access through the subscription ends.
• When a subscription ends, your exported results and backups stay yours, and records saved on your own device are not deleted by the subscription check. Files and library programs you received under your plan stay usable and keep the right of use described in block 3.

The software itself is licensed to you, not sold or transferred.

2. One-time purchase of an interactive tool

Buying an interactive tool once gives you permanent online access to that tool on the site and, where the tool provides one, its offline version: a single file that runs in your browser on your own devices, without a subscription. Records you already keep in that tool on your device carry over when you buy; nothing has to be entered again. A tool bought this way keeps its access and its offline version when a PRO subscription ends.

3. Downloadable materials: spreadsheets, PDFs and offline programs

Spreadsheets, printable and digital PDFs, file kits, book PDFs and offline programs (the single-file apps sold in the shop, the programs of the PRO library and the offline versions of interactive tools you bought) are licensed to you under this page with no time limit. The PRO downloadable library contains spreadsheets, planners, printables, file kits and seven offline programs: Executor Estate Kit, ADHD Time-Blocking, DBT Diary Card, Budget App Offline, ADHD Budget App, Medical Bill Checker, Resume Builder Offline. Its files follow your plan's terms: PRO Week shows the library as a preview, with no new downloads; PRO Month includes 15 downloadable products per paid month (the month starts on your subscription's billing date, not on the 1st); PRO Year is unlimited. Only the first receipt of a product counts: getting it again, in another language, format or paper size, after an update or after a download that failed is free, and exports of your own results and backups never count. Book PDFs follow the book rules of your plan. Files and programs received from the library under those terms keep their right of use after PRO ends. The offline versions of the interactive business tools are not library items: they come only with the one-time purchase of a tool (block 2).

You may

• Print the files at home, at work, or at a print shop, for yourself, your business or your client work.
• Use the files on your own iPad, tablet, phone and computer, in apps such as GoodNotes, Notability, Noteshelf, Xodo, Penly, Excel and Google Sheets.
• Fill them in, write on them, and adapt a spreadsheet's categories and formulas for your own household, your business or a client's figures.
• Share the product link with friends, colleagues and clients.

You may not

Without a license you may not share, resell, relicense, redistribute or give away the files, the software or your access, including to your clients. That means you may not:

• upload them to shared drives, file-sharing sites, marketplaces, Telegram channels or social media;
• include them in giveaways, freebie vaults or memberships;
• use any part of them (designs, layouts, formulas, wording, structure) to create products for sale or free distribution, with or without changes.

Using our products to serve your clients is allowed. Selling, sharing or bundling the products themselves is not.

All copyright, title and ownership remain with Tidy Cents. A refunded purchase revokes this license.

Distribution and resale: by license only

Distributing our paid products to third parties is allowed only under a separate written license from Tidy Cents. This includes:

• reselling them;
• handing copies or logins to clients;
• including the files or the software in your own paid packages or courses;
• white-labelling or bundling them.

To ask for a distribution license, write to the contact form at /support. We do not sell PLR or MRR rights. If you would like to feature a product in a blog post, review or roundup, you are welcome to use our product images and link to the product page.

Teacher, classroom and therapist use of workbooks

To give copies of a personal workbook or planner to students, clients or colleagues, you need an extended license, one per educator, therapist or practitioner. Write to the contact form at /support and we will send you one; it is inexpensive and we approve almost every request. Business products used for your clients are already covered above.
