List up to 15 debts with their balance, APR and minimum payment, type the extra you can pay each month, and the planner builds a 120-month payoff schedule that tells you exactly what to pay on each debt every month. When a debt is cleared, its minimum payment (and any leftover) rolls into the next one automatically — the real snowball effect, not a rough estimate.

Switch the strategy dropdown between Snowball (smallest balance first), Avalanche (highest APR first) and Custom (your own priority) and every number updates instantly: debt-free date, total interest, interest saved, first payoff and the payoff order. A second built-in schedule shows what happens if you only pay minimums, so you can see the months and money your plan saves.

Log real payments as you go and the Debt Thermometer fills up. Built for Excel 2016+ and Google Sheets with classic, compatible formulas only — no macros, no add-ins, nothing locked. Comes with sample data you overwrite in two minutes and a one-page Google Sheets set-up guide.

Preguntas

Does it work in Google Sheets?

Yes. Upload the .xlsx to Google Drive, open it and choose File → Save as Google Sheets. All formulas, dropdowns and charts are Sheets-compatible. The only Excel-only feature is the data-bar column on the Debt Thermometer; the sheet also has block and text bars that work in Sheets.

Which is better, snowball or avalanche?

Avalanche (highest APR first) costs the least interest. Snowball (smallest balance first) gives quick wins that help many people stick with the plan. Switch the dropdown and compare your own numbers — the difference is often smaller than expected.

How many debts and how long a schedule?

Up to 15 debts and 120 months (10 years). Mortgages usually don't fit in 10 years; most people leave the mortgage out and track consumer debt.

Can I change the currency?

Yes — type any symbol in Settings & Debts. It appears in the labels; the number formats stay the same.

Is anything locked or macro-based?

No. There are no macros, no protected sheets and no external links. Blue-on-yellow cells are inputs; black cells are formulas.
