- It calculates. Line totals are rounded before they are added, the way bookkeeping does it — so the figure on the invoice is the figure that lands in the bank, with no rounding drift between them.
- It knows tax can be inside the price, not only added to it. Templates written for one country get this wrong and quietly overcharge or undercharge everyone else.
- The discount comes off before the tax is worked out, because that is the order that is actually correct.
- The arithmetic is checked against a separate, independently written model before this page ships — and against a deliberate attempt to break it.

Dark leaf sprays lean in from both ends over amber and sage blocks, and the whole centre is left as bare cream — the most open composition in the services group. The document is set in monospace, so job numbers, dates and amounts all sit in even columns; the table is ruled and unfilled, and the balance due is bare and right-aligned at 38px with no box.
Thirty deliveries in a month — will the sheet take it?
Up to five hundred lines, and monospace figures keep thirty amounts aligned on the decimal point. One line per job with its reference in the description is what a client’s accounts department will reconcile without asking.
Fuel surcharge as a percentage of the total?
Work out the amount and add it as a line, with the percentage and base named in the description. The page prints arithmetic it has done, not arithmetic it has been told about.

Is anything I type sent to you?
No. The whole thing runs in your browser, including the logo. Your draft is kept in this browser's own storage so it survives a reload, and clearing it removes everything. We never see it and there is nothing to sign up for.
How do I get a PDF?
Press print and choose Save as PDF. Only the document prints — the editing panel disappears. Pick A4 or US Letter above so the margins are right for your country.
What is the difference between tax added to the prices and tax already in them?
If your prices exclude tax, the tax is added on top and the total goes up. If your prices already include it, the total does not change and the tax is separated out of it for the paperwork. Getting this backwards changes what your client owes, which is why it is a choice here rather than an assumption.
Can I issue a credit note?
Yes — put a negative quantity on the line you are reversing. The discount and the tax reverse with it, so a credit note and the invoice it cancels come to exactly zero together.
Why does the unit price allow four decimal places?
Because real prices have them: per litre, per kilometre, per unit. If a price is rounded to cents before being multiplied by a quantity, the line is wrong by more the larger the quantity gets.
