Give every goal its own row — emergency fund, holiday, car insurance, Christmas, a new laptop — with a target amount, a target date, what you already have and what you plan to add each month. Each time you move money into savings, log it once and the tracker updates saved-so-far, % complete, months left, the amount you need to put aside each month, an on-track flag and the month you will actually get there.

The Monthly Plan spreads your savings budget across goals for the next 12 months and turns red when a month is over budget. The Sinking Funds Calendar shows which expenses land in which month, what is already saved toward them and what is still needed, so an annual bill never surprises you again.

The Dashboard adds the big picture — total saved, % funded, goals on track, this month's contributions, saved vs target per goal, contributions by month and allocation by category — and the Progress Bars sheet prints as a one-page motivation poster. Built for Excel 2016+ and Google Sheets with classic, compatible formulas only — no macros, nothing locked.

Questions

Does it work in Google Sheets?

Yes. Upload the .xlsx to Google Drive, open it and choose File → Save as Google Sheets. Formulas, dropdowns and charts are Sheets-compatible. The only Excel-only feature is the data-bar column on Progress Bars — that sheet also has milestone blocks and a text bar that work in Sheets.

What is a sinking fund?

A known future expense (car insurance, Christmas, a holiday, annual subscriptions) that you save for a little each month instead of paying all at once. The tracker tells you the monthly amount for each one and when it is due.

How many goals can I track?

Up to 20 at a time. Finished goals can be overwritten with new ones — the log keeps the history by goal name.

Can I change the currency or categories?

Yes. The currency symbol and the 12 categories live on the Settings sheet and can be renamed.

Is anything locked or macro-based?

No. No macros, no protected sheets, no external links. Blue-on-yellow cells are inputs; black cells are formulas.
