Cubic volume alone does not tell you whether a shipment fits. This planner connects the actual dimensions of your rectangular cargo with permitted orientations, payload, support rules and available loading spaces. Inspect the 3D layout, open the checks and review the proposed straight-path loading and unloading sequence.

Compare one larger space with several smaller ones using the same required cargo. Include pallet, handling and other entered charges so that fuller does not automatically mean cheaper. Export numbered layers and a loading list.

Every box is checked by an independent validator: inside the space, no overlap, 100% support under its base, the weight-on-top limit you entered, payload, the door, a straight loading path and unloading by stop. In the example, one larger truck at $1,000 plus two $30 pallets costs $1,060; two vans at $600 with one $30 pallet each cost $1,260 — the valid larger space is $200 cheaper. If a cheaper plan breaks the payload or access rule, that saving is not available.

A plan is labelled optimal only when the search proves it within the stated model: a finite grid, these spaces and these rules. Larger orders get a valid plan whose optimality is not proven; an impossible order is reported with its reason; a search stopped by the time limit or Cancel is never called impossible. The search runs in the background, so the page stays usable.

The application does not certify packaging strength, vehicle safety, axle legality, securing arrangements or dangerous-goods compliance.

What you get

  • 3D rectangular placement in pallets, containers, trucks and custom spaces.
  • Allowed orientations, stackable, weight-on-top limit and floor-only rules per SKU.
  • Entered payload, door size and forbidden zones such as wheel arches.
  • Support, overlap, straight loading path and unloading-by-stop checks.
  • Numbered loading order with the reason every box comes before another.
  • Whole-shipment cost: fixed cost, pallets, handling and other entered charges.
  • One larger space against several smaller ones for the same required order.
  • Printable layers, SVG, CSV coordinates and complete backups.

How it works

  1. Enter the cargo. In Cargo add one line per SKU with outer size, mass, allowed orientations, whether other boxes may stand on it, the weight-on-top limit, the stop and whether it must ship.
  2. Enter the spaces. In Spaces add each pallet, container, truck or custom space with inner size, payload, door, forbidden zones and the money of one use: fixed cost, pallets, handling and other charges.
  3. Search and check the plan. In Load plan start the search, read the status, turn the 3D view, step through the layers and open every check; select a box to see its support and the weight on top.
  4. Compare and print. In Cost comparison run one larger space against several smaller ones for the same order, then print the plan with numbered layers and the loading sequence, or export CSV and SVG.

Limits

Rectangular, axis-aligned boxes only. It checks the model you enter; it does not certify packaging strength, vehicle safety, axle legality, securing arrangements or dangerous-goods compliance, and it does not create machine instructions.

Questions

Does it use volume only?

No. Volume is only one check. Each box is placed in 3D with its real size and allowed orientations, and the plan is checked for overlap, support, the weight-on-top limits and payload you entered, the door, the straight loading path and unloading by stop.

Is every result optimal?

No. The status says whether it is proven. A plan is called optimal within the defined model only when the exact search finished over every grid position of a small model. Larger orders get a valid plan whose optimality is not proven.

Does it certify road safety?

No. It checks the model you enter. It does not certify vehicle safety, axle loads, securing arrangements, packaging strength or dangerous-goods compliance.

Does it create machine instructions?

No. It produces a plan, numbered layers, a loading sequence and CSV coordinates for people; it does not drive loading equipment.

What if the search stops before it finds a plan?

The status says it stopped without a plan. That never means the order is impossible; impossibility is shown only with a proof, such as a box larger than every space or a required mass above every payload.

Does it use AI?

No. Every placement, check and cost is calculated with fixed rules shown in the tool and in the guide. No records are sent to an AI service.

Do I need a subscription?

No subscription is required for the one-time purchase. Access through TidyCents PRO follows the current PRO terms.

What does PRO include for this tool?

The full online version for as long as your PRO is active.

Is the offline program included in PRO?

No. The downloadable offline program is part of the one-time purchase and is bought separately.

Where is my data stored?

Your working records are stored in the browser on your device. Nothing is sent to our server. Export complete backups regularly, especially before clearing browser data or changing devices.

Can I move a project to another device?

Yes. Export a complete backup and restore it in the same product on the other device.

Can several people work in it at the same time?

This version is designed for one local workspace. It does not provide simultaneous shared editing.

What happens when PRO ends?

Records already on your device are not deleted. They open read-only with backup and CSV export; editing and new calculations come back when you renew PRO or buy the tool.
