Each expected charge follows the rules in your contract in the order you set: rounding of each side, the dimensional divisor, the rate table, discounts, minimum charges, fuel and other surcharges, tax. Duplicate charges, credits already received and corrections are recognised before a difference is called supported. When a shipment fact or a rule is missing, the line says what is missing instead of guessing.

How it works
- Enter your contract rules. Rounding, divisor, rate table and the exact order of surcharges from your contract, or start from a UPS / FedEx structure template and enter your own rates.
- Add shipments and bills. Import shipments and bill lines from CSV or XLSX, or enter them by hand: tracking number, dimensions, weight, zone, charge type and amount.
- Review the audit. Billed, expected, difference, rule applied, supporting data and status for every charge, with the full calculation one click away.
- Claim and prevent. Prepare a claim package from supported differences, record credits received, and replay shipments with alternative boxes to see which packaging change avoids repeat costs.
Limits
Carrier refunds are not guaranteed. Dedicated tariff support is limited to the carriers, origins and rule versions explicitly listed in the app; the UPS and FedEx templates prefill structure only (units, rounding, divisor, operation order) and contain no rates. Rates, fuel percentages and surcharges are the values you enter from your contract. Claims are submitted by you. No zone lookup or live carrier connection. The packaging planner handles rectangular items, up to 10 pieces per comparison. Not legal or tax advice.

Does it use AI?
No. No AI guesses: every expected charge is calculated with fixed formulas from the rules and shipment details you enter, and shows its working.
Do I need a subscription?
No subscription is required for the one-time purchase of this product. Access through TidyCents PRO follows the current PRO terms.
What does PRO include?
The full online version of this tool while your PRO is active, including exporting your own reports and backups. Those exports do not use your downloadable-library allowance.
Is the offline program included in PRO?
No. The downloadable offline program, guide and import templates come with the one-time purchase.
Where is my data stored?
Working records are stored in your browser on your device. Nothing you enter is sent to a server. Keep a backup, especially before changing browsers, clearing browser data or moving to another device.
Can I move my records to another device?
Yes. Export a full backup and restore it in the same product on the other device.
Can several people edit the same workspace at once?
This version is designed for one local workspace. It does not provide simultaneous shared editing.
What happens when PRO ends?
Your records stay on your device. Without an active PRO or a purchase the online version opens them read-only, and you can still export a backup and CSV files. Renewing PRO or buying the tool makes them editable again.
Can I see how a result was calculated?
Yes. Every audit line opens to the shipment facts, each rounding step, the billable weight, the rate row, every discount and surcharge in order, the credits and the difference.
Which countries and carriers does it fit?
Any carrier and currency whose charges you can describe with the supported rule types: rounding, dimensional divisor, rate table, fixed or percentage discounts, minimums, surcharges and tax. The UPS and FedEx templates cover US-origin parcel structure only and must be completed with your contract rates. Zone lookup, pallet freight and per-shipment surcharge tables are not included.
Will the carrier refund the difference?
That is not guaranteed. The tool shows which differences are supported by your shipment data and contract, prepares the claim package and tracks what was actually credited. You submit the claim yourself.
What if a fact is unknown, for example whether an address was residential?
Mark it Unknown. Charges that depend on it go to Needs checking with the missing information listed; they are never added to supported differences.
Does the packaging planner just compare volumes?
No. Volume alone is not proof. Items are placed in the box in the orientations you allow and the placement is verified independently; a box is offered only when the items fit.
