A contract can commit your business to another year of costs before its end date arrives. Contract Renewal & Obligation Control separates the renewal date from the last day to act and connects both to the money involved.
Record payment schedules, notice rules, minimum commitments and price changes. Keep the contract clause beside each entered condition. Compare renewal, revised terms and a replacement supplier, including transition costs and overlapping payments.
The calendar shows what needs doing, by whom and when. The financial view shows what happens if you do nothing. Export reminders to your calendar and retain a record of completed actions. Contract conditions are entered by you; the tool does not interpret legal documents automatically.
What you get
- Contract register for expense and revenue contracts.
- Notice deadlines in calendar days, working days or months, shown with the rule used.
- Indexation: fixed percentage, index with pass-through and cap/floor, or agreed price steps.
- Obligations with owner, due date, evidence and financial effect — confirmed separately.
- Renewal scenarios: renew, renegotiate price or volume, replace the supplier.
- Calendar export (.ics) with reminders 30, 14, 7 and 1 day before.
How it works
- Enter the contract. Add the counterparty, the term, automatic renewal and the payment schedule — or import a list of contracts.
- Record the conditions. Enter the notice rule, price changes and minimum commitments, with the page and clause each one comes from.
- Check the dates. See the end of the term, the automatic renewal and the last day to give notice, and what renewal would commit.
- Compare the renewal. Set renewing against a negotiated price, a different volume or a replacement supplier over the next term.
- Track the action. Assign each action, export it to your calendar, mark it completed and confirm the actual result.
Limits
No legal interpretation; no automatic document extraction; calendar reminders depend on the receiving calendar application.
Questions
Does it use AI?
No. The tool uses explicit calculations and rules. Results depend on the records and assumptions you enter.
Do I need a subscription?
No subscription is required for the one-time purchase of this product. Access through TidyCents PRO follows the current PRO terms.
Where is my data stored?
Working records are stored on your device. Keep a backup, especially before changing browsers, clearing browser data or moving to another device.
Can several people edit the same workspace at once?
This version is designed for one local workspace. It does not provide simultaneous shared editing.
Can I move my records to another device?
Yes. Export a full backup and restore it in the same product on the other device.
Does it connect to my bank or accounting software?
This version works with direct entry and supported file imports. It does not automatically connect to your bank or accounting system.
Can I try it before buying?
Yes. The demo contains fictional records and prepared scenarios so you can inspect the screens and results before buying.
How is the last day for notice calculated?
Separately from the end date, from the rule you enter: the notice period (calendar days, working days of your own calendar, or months) and whether the end date itself counts. The result is shown with the rule used, for example “30 calendar days before 11/14/2026 (end date not counted) → last day to give notice: 10/14/2026”. The date is not moved for weekends unless you enter it that way.
Does it read my contract or download index values?
No. You enter the conditions and note the page and clause each one comes from. Index values for price changes are entered by you from the source named in the contract; nothing is downloaded or estimated.
Will a minimum-purchase shortfall show a penalty?
Only if you enter the contract's own rule for a shortfall (a price per missing unit or a fixed amount). Being below the minimum does not create a charge by itself.
Will I get reminder e-mails?
No. The app shows what is due when you open it, and the .ics export adds each deadline to your calendar application with reminders 30, 14, 7 and 1 day before. A newer export updates the same events instead of adding copies. Reminders depend on your calendar application.
Is a renegotiated price treated as agreed?
No. A renegotiated price is always labelled a negotiation scenario. A completed action is also not counted as money received until you confirm the actual result.
