For makers and small sellers who sell the same product on Etsy, Amazon, eBay, Shopify or their own site and want to know, before changing a price or running a promotion, which channel actually pays. It checks future prices and conditions; it does not analyse past sales.

Why this and not a fee calculator for one platform: you compare every channel you sell the product on side by side, returns are split into kept, resold and written off, and stepped fee tariffs are solved band by band to find the minimum price and the maximum ad cost per order. Your own minutes per order are counted exactly once, and promotions are checked before you run them. One payment, no subscription; no bank, accounting or marketplace connection; your data stays on your device; no AI — every result is an exact decimal calculation with “How it is calculated”, in 8 languages and any currency.

You enter the product once: purchase or production cost (in another currency if you pay it that way, at a rate you enter), packaging, other costs per order and your minutes per order. Then each channel with its price, shipping charged and paid, acquisition cost per order, fixed costs and planned orders, and every fee as its own line — fixed amount, percentage, what it is charged on, refund on return and, for stepped tariffs, the price band it applies to. Add your return assumptions, a target margin, a minimum contribution per order and the promotions you want to test.

You get, per channel, the order contribution across kept, resold and written-off returns, the contribution after your labour, expected month profit, the minimum price, the maximum acquisition cost and break-even orders — plus checks for a discount, free shipping, a coupon and a bundle, and the orders you would need after a discount to keep the same total. Every result shows how it is calculated. No AI — exact, traceable calculations. One-time payment, no subscription. It works on a phone and a computer, and your data stays on your device.

What's inside

Order contribution with returnsEach order is split into three outcomes — kept, returned and resold, returned and written off — with fees after refunds, return shipping, handling and value loss; a resaleable return loses only the value loss you enter.
Contribution after your labourYour minutes per order at your hourly value, counted once: a switch says whether this time is already inside your costs.
Fee lines per channelAny number of fees per channel: fixed amount, percentage, base (item, item + shipping, or full payment incl. tax), full, partial or no refund on returns. No platform tariffs are filled in for you.
Stepped and tiered tariffsGive a fee line a ‘from’ and ‘below’ amount, on the whole amount or only on the part inside the band. The price search solves each tariff interval exactly and checks the jumps.
Minimum price and break-even priceThe lowest unit price that meets your minimum contribution and target margin, and the price below which an order loses money — rounded up to the money step and re-checked.
Maximum acquisition costHow much advertising per order a channel can carry before it falls below your minimum contribution, or a plain statement that the target is unreachable even without advertising.
Month profit and break-even ordersPlanned orders × contribution after labour minus the channel's fixed costs, and the number of orders needed to cover those costs.
Promotion checksDiscount, free shipping and coupon checked one by one and together, with the minimum list price while the promotion runs; a bundle check compares contribution per unit with single orders.
Orders needed after a discountFor 5–30 % and your own discount: contribution after labour, the multiple of today's orders and the orders a month needed to keep the same total — shown as needed growth, not a forecast.
Charts, scenarios and documentsWhere the buyer's payment goes, channel comparison, price vs contribution and discount vs needed growth, each with its data table; Current, Variant A and B; a full report and a channel price sheet as PDF (A4 or US Letter), CSV and JSON backup.

Questions

Who is it for?

Small sellers and makers who sell one product through several channels — marketplaces, a shop platform or their own website — and want to compare what each channel leaves after every cost.

Does it know Etsy, Amazon or eBay fees?

No. Choosing a platform never fills in tariffs, because they change and differ by country, category and plan. You enter the rates that apply to your account, as separate fee lines.

How are returns counted?

An order is kept, returned and resold, or returned and written off. Each outcome has its own revenue and costs, and the order contribution is their weighted sum using your return and resale shares. Return figures are your own assumptions.

What does it not calculate?

Income tax; which VAT or sales tax applies to you (you choose the treatment and rate); demand or how buyers react to a price or promotion; stock, storage and payout timing. It does not read your shop or bank data.

Can I try it first?

Yes. The free demo at /tools/marketplace-profit-price uses fictional data with three channels, stepped fees, returns and promotions, and every screen and calculation works there. Your own projects, file import and saved work open after purchase.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once and use it for as many products and calculations as you need. Your projects stay in your browser on your device.

Business license for use in your own business. No resale or redistribution. Opens in your browser right after payment, on phone and computer. Your figures stay on your device. No physical item.
