A shoe store is won or lost on two numbers per style: the margin you keep and how fast a size run sells. Most free retail templates do a stock count OR a markup table, never both — and almost never the markdown maths that decides whether an end-of-season clearance still makes money. This kit is the whole retail operating system in one file. On Products you list each style with its wholesale cost and retail price, and the margin and markup are worked out for you, named correctly, plus the margin left after a markdown and the exact price to hit a target margin.
Pricing is where owners slip, so both percentages sit side by side: margin as a share of the price and markup as a share of the cost — a 100% markup is only a 50% margin. Set a clearance price and the kit shows the margin it still leaves, so you never mark down into a loss; set a target margin and it gives you the price to charge; and it shows the break-even pairs at your price so you know how many of each style pays the rent.
And it keeps your stock room — the thing a plain pricing sheet leaves out. Opening plus received minus sold gives what you hold, valued at cost; a sell-through % shows how fast each style is moving; and a reorder point built from your own daily sales and your supplier's lead time flags every style as OK, REORDER or OUT OF STOCK before a size run sells out. The Sales sheet logs each day and the Dashboard adds it all up: revenue, cost of goods, gross profit and margin, net after fixed costs and the tax you should set aside, stock value, how many styles need reordering and which earn the most.
Built for Excel 2016+ and Google Sheets with classic, compatible formulas only — no macros, no add-ons, nothing locked. Any currency (one symbol cell). Sample data for a real shoe store — men's, women's and kids — is filled in so every number and the chart are alive on first open; clear the yellow cells and it is yours. Every headline figure in this listing was measured from the built file, recalculated by LibreOffice and checked against an independent model of the same arithmetic.

Questions
Does it work in Google Sheets?
Yes. Upload the .xlsx to Google Drive and choose File → Save as Google Sheets. Every formula (SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, COUNTIF, IFERROR) and the chart are Sheets-compatible. A short PDF walks you through it.
Which currency does it use?
Any. You set a currency symbol on Start Here; it is decorative only — the arithmetic uses plain numbers, so the file works in any country with no tax rules baked in.
How does the markdown / clearance margin work?
Enter a markdown price next to a style and the kit shows the margin it still leaves against your wholesale cost, so you can see at a glance whether an end-of-season price is still profitable before you put it on the sale rack.
What does sell-through tell me?
Sell-through % is pairs sold ÷ (pairs sold + pairs on hand) — how much of what you bought has already sold. A high sell-through means reorder; a low one means it may be time to mark it down. The Inventory sheet shows it per style automatically.
What is the difference between margin and markup?
Margin is profit as a share of the price; markup is profit as a share of the cost. A 100% markup is only a 50% margin. The Products sheet shows both, named correctly, so you never confuse them again.
Does it handle sizes?
Track it at whatever level you count stock: one row per style, or one row per size SKU — the maths is the same. Add, rename or remove rows freely; it fits any shoe shop, from a market stall to a boutique.
Is anything locked or macro-based?
No. No macros, no protected sheets, no external links. Blue-on-yellow cells are your inputs; black cells are formulas.
