For small shops, online sellers and wholesalers who buy stock from several suppliers with lead times, minimum orders and pack sizes — and who have run out of a best-seller while money sat in slow stock. It is one tool for one job: the next purchase, checked day by day against your own sales figures and your budget.

Why this and not a reorder-point spreadsheet: besides reorder points, it splits a limited budget across products with an exact search over minimum orders, packs and price breaks, and says plainly when optimality is not proven. A day-by-day simulation gives the latest order date per product, and one big purchase is compared with frequent smaller ones including shipping, holding cost and payment dates. One payment, no subscription; no bank, accounting or marketplace connection; your data stays on your device; no AI — every result is an exact decimal calculation with “How it is calculated”, in 8 languages and any currency.

You enter your products with stock on hand, units reserved for customers and deliveries already on the way; your daily sales history (marking out-of-stock days and unusual days) or your own average or weekly plan; each supplier's lead time, MOQ, pack size, price breaks, shipping and payment terms; then your budget, horizon, safety stock, maximum stock, shelf life and which products are mandatory.

You get a purchase list by supplier with quantities in whole packs, the latest order date for each line, the cost against your budget, expected stock-out days in a lower, base and higher demand scenario, money left in excess stock, and a comparison of one big purchase with frequent smaller orders including shipping, holding cost and payment dates. The budget split comes from an exact search over the listed options, and the result says plainly whether the search finished. No AI — exact, traceable calculations. One-time payment, no subscription. It works on a phone and a computer, and your data stays on your device.

What's inside

Purchase list by supplierWhat to order from whom: quantity, number of packs, unit price at the price break reached, line cost, order date and expected delivery — as a supplier-ready PDF and as CSV.
Latest order date per productA daily simulation finds the day stock would fall below your safety stock; minus the supplier's lead time, that is the last day to order. Late items are flagged.
Reorder point and stock positionStock position = stock + confirmed deliveries − reserved orders; reorder point = demand per day × (lead time + safety days), shown for every product.
Budget split with an exact searchPer product: no purchase, minimum order, base and higher-demand quantities and price-break quantities. Branch and bound picks the combination with the most contribution from covered demand within budget, maximum stock and shelf life — or labels it “Feasible plan; optimality not proven” if 5 seconds run out.
Mandatory productsProducts you must have are covered first; if a limit blocks one, the result names the constraint — budget, maximum stock, shelf life or no supplier.
Sales history done carefullyOut-of-stock days and excluded days (with a reason) are left out of the average, with a warning that sales during a stock-out understate demand; spread, lowest and highest day are shown.
Three demand scenariosBase, lower by your X % and higher by your Y %: covered demand, stock-out days and excess stock for each.
Big vs frequent purchasesOne purchase for the whole horizon against orders every N days: purchase cost with price breaks, shipping per order, holding cost on average stock value, cost per unit bought and payment dates.
Tax and currency per supplierPrices with or without indirect tax, recoverable or not; suppliers in another currency at the rate and date you enter.
Scenarios, import and backupCompare Current, Variant A and Variant B; import products, deliveries, sales and offers from CSV or XLSX with a row check; keep a JSON backup of each project.

Questions

Who is it for?

Shops, online sellers, cafés with retail shelves and small wholesalers who reorder stock from several suppliers and have to choose what to buy first with limited money.

How does it decide what to buy when the budget is short?

For each product it lists a few possible quantities, removes those that break the budget, maximum stock or shelf life, then searches every combination for the most contribution from demand that the stock will cover. Mandatory products come first. If the full search does not finish within 5 seconds, you get the best plan found, labelled “Feasible plan; optimality not proven”.

Does it forecast my sales?

No. Demand comes from your sales history or from your own figures, and the lower and higher scenarios use the percentages you choose. It never predicts what customers will do.

What does it not calculate?

Demand forecasts, service levels or stock-out probabilities, income tax, automatic exchange rates, and discounts other than quantity price breaks. Missed sales are treated as lost, and stock you already hold is assumed not to expire within the horizon.

Can I try it first?

Yes. The free demo at /tools/stock-purchase-planner uses a fictional tea shop with five products and three suppliers, and every screen and calculation works there. Your own projects, file import and saved work open after purchase.

Where is my data stored?

In your browser, on your device. Nothing is sent to us. You can download a JSON backup of any project and restore it on another device.

Business license for use in your own business. No resale or redistribution. Opens in your browser right after payment, on phone and computer. Your figures stay on your device. No physical item.
